Eval bar

I was wondering how do I enable the eval bar that Im used to seeing when watching chess.com streams. I dont understand most of the high level play but the bar helps me see who's winning and who's not. Thanks!

When you're watching a game there is a toggle for it.

I've been wondering, is it possible to enable it while playing yourself?

Using the Analysis Board automatically analyzed and has it.

That would kinda be cheating, so no you cant use it

but, what does it tells you?

It tells you the engine evaluation of the position when it's running.

My eval bar has been blinking on and off the past couple of weeks.  Sometimes not showing the eval, sometimes it does.  Any suggestions?

Try clearing your browser cache?

Eval bar isn't available when playing games, except against bots in one of the assisted modes.

Unfortunatly not. it gives the players an unfair advantage

Can you use it with a bot?

Yes. I believe Assisted mode shows in and it can be enabled under Custom mode.

well, you could. just put the moves into an analysis board and open it. but that is cheating.

also if you're talking only eval bar and not best moves (lines), that would make the player think more if it's mate in one.

how do I enable the eval bar during a game

You'll need Assisted or Custom to turn on the Evaluation during vs Computer games.
