Games Order

Sort:
Iceman13

Today I've lost 3 games just because I've timed out while i was online. All My games seem to be sorted in a random order i have games that I need to make a move in 2 hours near the bottom while sometimes games that take 40+ hours are at the top. When i make a move it takes me to a random game that I have 14 days to move in while I have about 50 games that only have under 2 days left. Could this be fixed because Im very annoyed at those losses not because I didnt win but because they were timeouts. Thank you

forgive me if i'm wrong, but when you go to your "home" don't you get a listing of games that it is your turn for? maybe i am being pedantic, but it seems to me one click on "my home" would solve your "problem".

Yes, if you go to "My Home" then scroll down to "Online Chess" and click that then it will bring you to a page with all your current games listed. If you click "show all" you can see all of your current games and see the time left for you to move and then you can choose which one you would like to go to by clicking the red "My Move" link.

forget my earlier comment because it just happened to me! i've been online 5 times in the past two days, went to my home and this game never showed up as being my turn! something is wrong-eric any comments?

I know you can list all your games but they arent ordered in any way except for the ones with my turn are at the top. I want them ordered so the top one is the one with the least amount of time for me remaining to move. And when I make a move in a game it takes me to a game that might need 4 days for me to move, I just want an option to change it to " Take me to the game with least amount of time remaining"

hrmm. it seems that all of my games sort by least amount of time remaining. i will have to look into this.

if it is your turn, that will DEFINITELY show up as your turn. you will also see alerts in your Alert Panel and a MOVE icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

When I elect to play (say) 3 days a move, I mean that I intend to move much earlier, certainly before the elapsing of 2 days. If I reckoned that I needed all of three days to make a move, I would arrange to play 5 days per move, leaving myself with an ample margin for error or contigencies. That's why I never play one day per move, always minimum three.

Agreed. The only time I let it run down to the last day is perhaps if there's a very complicated position that I went to spend a lot of time analyzing. In that case, though, I'm very much aware of that game, so I won't make a mistake and time out.
