How come I can't quote or post images?

The Posting Tips say "Insert pictures or images, Add links to other pages or sites." But I'm unable to do that.

I thought maybe it's because I only joined 2 days ago. But I've seen at least one person join the very same day and post images in one of my threads.

I haven't been around long enough to incur any punishments that would take these privileges away, and the Support bots are, well... all due respect but they just aren't equipped for this. I need a human to help me.

I figured it was my lack of games. How do you play unranked games? I don't wanna affect the community ratings, I'm not really here for chess. I'm here for something else.

There used to be a help article and things change. I know there are some limits, just not the specifics anymore.

I also cannot post images anymore all of a sudden. I used to be able to.

What happens when you try? Is the option not there? Or is it there and doesn't work, or doesn't upload, or uploads a broken image?

The button is simply not on the toolbar anymore, and it used to be. @Martin_Stahl

Have you tried clearing your browser cache? Also, is this just in messages or all content areas?

I can't post images in messages or forums anymore, and I used to be able to. I've done it before.

Found out it's a new safety feature. You should get access again after you have more posts

@Martin_Stahl My friend says he is also suddenly not able to post images anymore, and his account is almost a year old. Do you have specifics on this new policy change?

Found out there was a new update and that caused the issue. Staff rolled that back until the bug gets fixed.

But I've never been able to post images or quote, while people who have been around less than I have could.

There are restrictions on new accounts that require activity to unlock. The bugged update was similar.

So accounts you were seeing met the activity requirements.
