How do I get back to the sidebar menu?

I saw there was an icon that said something like "Top Menu" and I clicked it and it moved the menu from the sidebar to the top of the screen.

How do I get it back to a sidebar?

There is an icon on the top menu to switch it back to the side.

I can't find that icon, where is it?

For me, on the mobile version of the desktop site, it is to the left of the help icon. It looks like a square with two columns, smaller on the left.

I was in the middle of browsing the site and it just switched from my preferred side menu to top menu (no, I didn't accidentally click on something), and now the menu to switch back has just simply disappeared.  Did a site search for the topic, with no results... did a google search and ended up right here.  R.I.P. beloved side menu... you will be missed, especially since you made the game board noticeably bigger without having to "re-size".

That is the new (the only) version.

Yeah, what happened? Come on chess.com, I already gave in and switched to V3 when I still liked V2. Now you expect me to go sidebar instead of top bar too?

You have your choice - side or top. What's the problem?

I was using menus across the top too until about 10 minutes ago, now suddenly I have the nonsense down the left side of my screen with menus floating out every time I accidentally move my mouse over them instead of the option I previously chose.  It's like game and website developers are actively trying to lose customers when they just start changing layouts that people are used to in favour of stuff that is worse.

I can't find an option to switch back to a top bar so is this all there is now?

Okay my menu is now located on the side when it was previously at the top. The problem is, how do I switch back to the top? I don't see a way to do so.

My screen looks nothing like that.  That option doesn't exist and the others are all in a different order.

Not that I care about the order of those menu options, I'd just like the option back to switch to a top menu!

That's definitely a bug.

Send a bug report with as much info as you can - browser, OS, etc.  

I've always gotten good response using this method:
