How do I practice opening position against computer with few clicks

Suppose I want to practice something like the Ruy Lopez Exchange Variation against the a particular engine at a particular time control - let's say 15|10 for convenience.

At present, I'm struggling to do this without having to click numerous times. It doesn't help that iPad (no opening explorer), iOS, and chess.com (no custom setup option when playing bot, forgets previous time settings)  have different capabilities.

Ideally, i'd like to do this in one or two (max 3 clicks).

So far I do this but there must be a better way:

  1. Go to my library
  2. Go to a saved collection
  3. Click the opening position I have saved
  4. Click the analyze button
  5. Click through the game to get to the position
  6. Click Practice against computer
  7. Click 'change bot'
  8. Click 'engine'
  9. Slide the slider
  10. Click Choose
  11. Click the Options
  12. Unclick assistance settings
  13. Try to find the time controls and give up

A slightly more efficient way is to bookmark the position like this then choose to play against computer but I still see no way to set the time controls.

I guess I'm missing some easy way.

That wasn't the question.

Honestly I have the same basic question/need/want.  I want to find a program where I can choose a bot (of variable difficulty) which will attempt to play a selected opening, in so far that my own moves allow it to do so while preserving its difficulty rating.  Every now and then one of the standard bots here on chess.com will follow a given line more often than not, but its not so often that it happens by chance and it is annoying when it breaks out.

Ive tried the other side of this coin, which is just practicing the main line of a given opening, but this is awful.   Yeah you can learn if you already understand the fundamentals but are unpracticed, but its so much more effective when the computer brutalizes youf or your mistake instead of just prompting you to make the "correct" move instead.

It seems to me, when playing a bot, it should be easy to select an opening for that bot to use or follow the relevant lines. Alas, it looks like a far more complex process. Shame.
