I'm new on chess.com and use the website (I use my PC) I have played 10 games (blitz if that matters) and I am able to use the chat in game. If anyone can help, thank you.
What browser and browser version are you on? You might check your browser zoom level.

I use chrome and use 100% zoom level (normal)
This is just happening to me as well. I'm on firefox with standard zoom (100%). It hasn't been an issue for me before and i can see other people commenting, so it seems like it doesn't happen to everyone. It's not that it doesn't let me post, the box just isn't there

Interestingly, if you click on the Quote Comment function and then hit the aforementioned green POST button without doing anything else, the quote will post as a new comment.

All the other comments were from puzzles posted at least 3 days ago.

Regardless. I was experiencing the same issue. Also, I was just coming back to report that I figured out a work-around:
If you re-sort the comments to oldest-first, the comment box magically appears. You can then re-sort to newest-first and the issue resolves itself.

Re-sorting the comments from oldest to newest (and then back again, if you so choose) made the comment box appear the other day.

I'm on computer firefox. I tried turning off ublock origin, but it didn't work. Other than that, i don't have any other addon/plugins that is turned on for chess.com
