Go to your Chess.com app, click on the hamburger (three lines) in the top left, scroll down to Settings > General > Toggle “sounds” off. Quit Chess.con app and reopen. That will allow you to listen to Spotify and play chess 🤩
music while playing
iPhone friends, for me it turned out to be an issue with the lessons feature. The relationship between in-game videos and how I exit the app in particular. Closing and reopening the app fixes the problem and I can listen to music while playing without messing with settings. Have fun!
Same for me, even while doing puzzles. Paying a sh*t ton and an app service like this is actually unacceptable.
Hi, the app, on iOS, takes over all sound the moment you open the app, and the moment you open a game.
This isn’t a problem with iOS, it’s a problem with Chess.com app.
On CarPlay it does the same, which is extremely frustrating too. Can’t play chess and listen to the radio, Music, Audible, etc.
what can be done?
Same issue with iOS app on latest iOS. Starting new game stops music (CarPlay) even though board-sound is turned off.
I listen to music almost always when I play chess, when I sleep, or when I do sports. It helps me focus when I need to relax. I even listened to music while writing my essay. But now I use https://oxessays.com/essay-writer , so I write almost nothing myself, but I get good grades. It's great for me as I'm thinking of getting into music-making, and it's taking a lot of time.
Yes, very frustrating. Easy fix
