Hi all,

 Just a quick question.  With a new account on this site, a user is allocated a default rating of 1200.  Using the Chess.com application on Facebook, the default rating (FB rating) is 1000.

 Why is there a difference?

the average users on each site are slightly different skill levels (facebook being less "chess oriented").
