Any idea why chess no longer works on my iPad as of 2 days ago. Tried reloading tha app many times to no avail.

What's the app version, iOS version, amd what exactly is happening?

IOS 12.5.7.  Pulling in latest version of chess app.   Clicking chess icon on home screen, returns home screen.  Everything was fine 2 days ago.

I have the same problem, also on iOS 12.5.7 with the latest chess app version. iPad Mini 2. It was working a few days ago on the previous version.

The Google Play store says I'm a member of the Beta program, but I don't have access to any Beta features. Everything I try to do here is new, like I've never been here before and have to figure out everything from scratch. I just figured out that "leave a message" is the same as posting a comment.

hi! When I try to play Puzzle Battle, the page starts searching for an opponent, and it keeps searching for what seems like forever. This has never happened to me before, usually an opponent would be found after a few seconds. 

Anyone else experiencing this today?

Check your settings and make sure White Always on Bottom isn't enabled.

Your Rapid rating has dropped too much recently to join tournaments.

It's a known issue and impacts all languages.

I was playing a 10 minute rapid game against this person on my phone, I was up material by the endgame and I was winning. But then the game was "aborted", but how!? I was winning and then the game was aborted? You can't abort the game after move 1 and he aborted the game on move 33. I see this as an issue because it is unfair if you can abort the game when you are losing, because you will never have to lose rating points.
Edit: The game also didn't show in game archives, so I cannot view the game again

There was a scheduled live server restart. When that happens, all ongoing games are aborted
