Wow, what an adventure. Erik can write all about it in his next chess.com story. Not the smoothest hardware upgrade I"ve ever experienced,that's for sure!
Yeah! very nice.. its very fast right now, I didn't notice the waiting.. and transfering data.. . Great!
We are very close to taking down the site to enhance our servers on the hardware side. Hopefully this is our last outtage for a long while to come. We are adding some RAM and more CPUs, and the only way to do that is to power it off and wait for them to cool, then put them in. We estimate about an hour of offline time starting at 8:30 PST (about 20 minutes).
