Strategic loss?

Hi, I have a question.

From what I've understood, rating changes in a chess game are based on the ratings of each player at the time of game completion.

With this in mind... say, for example, I have two games ongoing against different players with different ELO ratings (a stronger opponent and a weaker opponent than me). And say in both games a defeat is very likely. Would I benefit from losing first against the stronger player, to then lower my rating before losing against the weaker player, so the impact of the defeat doesn't affect my rating decrease as much?

Thank you!

Yes you would this is a normal stratergy so dont worry but its less likely you will always be paired with a player with a less rating than you ... so just play dont see the rating play using your stratergy/game plan worrying will make it worse
