Three Fold Repetition
"what is confusing or unclear about the rule you quoted"
I don't really mean that the rule is unclear, or even that it's confusing (insofar as it could mean several different things) but rather that the language isn't very user-friendly.

Thanks, batgirl. It is an honor to share anything with people who behave decently. Titles are not nothing, but far from everything. "Mad scientist" is a title and movie cliche. Such a "titled person" could start a site for an exchange of IQ points for looks.
Matalino makes a good point about a draw claim button interfering by being an alert. Playchess.com goes further by ending games when repetitions occur.
yes, I can see that the "alert" condition that the automatic change (from offer to claim) creates is fundamentally wrong. But, on the other hand, this isn't tournament chess and the rules can be different. For instance, no one stops their own clock either. I'm not sure the precise rules are as important as the idea that everyone is aware of what rules are in place.

I'd give up a few IQ points for looks, but only a few! (I don't have all that many to spare.)
batgirl, what is confusing or unclear about the rule you quoted?
By the way, I only meant to point out that the ep and castling part of the rule was illogical, not that it wasn't part of the rule.
