username invalid error

I try to change my username to another one that has not been taken and it says username invalid and won’t let me change it

It's possible that it doesn't meet the naming requirements, is a banned username, or has part of it that's on the abuse filter.

There's an issue staff are looking into that may be causing what you are seeing.

I’m still getting the same issue. Username is invalid no matter what I enter.
