waiting for opponent to move and I lose by abandonment ??

I just played a 3 minute blitz game. I was waiting for my opponent to move and then it flashed up that my opponent had won by abandonment. This is clearly incorrect can this be looked into?

That means you had been disconnected from the live server.
Are you playing on the iOS app?

Staff are looking into potential issues with the iOS related to similar issues so that should hopefully be resolved soon for those seeing the issue.
Martin: is the chat feature in iOS separate from the live server because I was live chatting with an opponent who lost because of the timer issue.

I’ve the same problem. The opponent runs out of time but I lose by abandonment. What is going on?

Thank you Martin. I really do not like players losing and then abandoning games. Can the abandonment record be taken off of my record? Not so much bothered about losing points but abandonment is a stain on my record

I'm not 100% sure if the chat works through the live server on the way the iOS app connects.

Games don't get removed and the abandonment flag is based on a percentage of recently completed games so should have any long term impact.
