weekly limit for lessons
Ehab, I have the same issue. It says I've reached the weekly limit even if it's my first try of the week. Maybe the "week" starts on a different day (I expected Sunday or Monday, but no...)
I have this same problem, but it doesn't let me start a new lesson even 2 weeks later no matter what I do. Could attempting to start a lesson when I don't have one left take the lesson from the next week, even though I haven't actually started it?

As it says, it resets Sunday at midnight.
As free members, you should be able to do one lesson section per week.
If you are unable to do that, write to [email protected] and they can check out what's happening.
Thanks. I notified them via support email.
Update: on Wednesday (today), I was able to do a lesson again. I don't know why - I just tried each day until it worked. So perhaps the "resets on Sunday" isn't quite accurate.
Hello, I cannot access to lessons anymore. I have platinum level, it says that I reached the limit of lessons in a week. I only had one try this morning and it works but now there is no more possibility to get to the lesson section. Any advice? Thank you
The same for me: I have a gold membership (3 lessons per week) but today, at my first try this week, it says I've already reached my limit. Then I tried with browser and it works normally, so it seems an app bug.
Hello same for me I can't access to lessons since the beginning of the week. I have wrote to the support but it's seems that they need more time to answer.
It seems like the number of free lessons per week has been reduced or there's a problem. I've just watched one lesson, first day of the week so should have a fresh weekly allowance. I tried to watch the video again before doing the challenges and it wouldn't even let me do that. So we're now on ONE lesson a week and must do the challenges straight away or we forfeit the opportunity?Â
There shouldn't be such strict limits to begin with. You need to copy this thread and email the whole thing to chess support. Chess.com needs to promote their services in the hopes that more people will buy memberships. Frustrating players who don't have memberships is a sure way to NOT get them to buy a membership.
I'm having the same problem. Platinum member should have 5 lessons per week. I got these last week but they still haven't reset on the app today and it's Tuesday.

They offer a free trial diamond membership where you can try out everything unlimited for a week.
It seems to me that free members get a lot of services here for nothing. You can argue over how many of each thing should be free but I think they have taken the right approach.- offering the basic product free along with a very limited amount of extra services. People who value their extra services will pay for it.Â
People who say they have no money somehow can afford computers and cell phones. Chess.com has a staff of 250 people working to make it better. They need to be paid. Â
Meanwhile, the people who don't or won't pay get a tremendous service free of charge. Some people have played tens of thousands of games here and never paid a dime. Â

Hmm, well the only thing you can do is to write to [email protected] and they will see if there is something wrong.
Unfortunately, it may take you a week or more to get an answer.
The good news is that they are hiring more support staff.

Thanks for the response. I can do the lessons if I log into the desktop version but then the progress isn't recorded in the app. I will try and contact admin, they have been pretty helpful in the past and I appreciate they are busy.
After a few weeks of testing, I can confirm what others have said above - it seems to be a bug in the app, not the website. Several Monday mornings, the app says I've reached my weekly limit (not true), but I'm able to do a lesson on the website. (The app catches up later in the week.)
Â
Edit: still hasn't reset on the app by Tuesday, but I was able to do lessons on the website both Monday and Tuesday.
It looks like like they have been trying to sort it but somehow made it worse! I can now do my lessons on the app but they don't show as having been completed.Â
