Where is automate?

Hi.  I am looking for how to play automate.  It was teased by danny in his video but I have no freaking clue how to find it, searching google does not help, and the few links to chess.com/automate that i've found do not work, they just take me to my homepage.  

  Some people said you have to join the beta to play it, I've joined the beta group but cannot find the beta option in my settings.  Danny why would you tease me with automate and then give me no way to play it?  I am holding Danny personally responsible.

The site had the statistics on how often it was used and decided the number of players and problems with the code didn't justify keeping it.

I did Automate a few times when it came out and for some testing. Probably less than 10 games total. It was interesting but not compelling in my opinion. 

4PC variants use the same base code and  Automate was it's own thing.

no wonder I couldn't find automate it was the most fun variant to me....

and also there definitely was enough players, even found multiple friends there!

I never played it and am so perplexed as to why everyone misses it can I see a video so I can be sad with you not confused. It has a weird title and a like think it sounds like 2 bots play each other.

That's exactly it. Players choose the pieces based on a point value system and set them up in their chosen configuration. When that's complete, or the set up time ended, the engine plays the position automatically until one side wins.

i guess you need an activity point to join beta which is acquired by earning 1 activity point

I want automate D:

Some one made a variant called set up chess I will look for it. It is similar but no engine.

Automate is removed, but I suppose if there is enough interested then make the suggestion to staff to bring it back

setup chess is like automate but worse cause I suck at chess ngl, I can't play with 9 knights
