The performance ratings should be taken with a very big grain of salt. They are based on a combination of player ratings and accuracy.
In your other topic, I mentioned I recently played in an OTB tournament in a section that was U1600. Here are mine and my opponent's performance rating according to the review
- 1650 with black vs 1350 as white (sub-900 player)
- 1900 with white vs 1600 as black (sub-1300 player)
- 1550 with black vs 1600 as white (sub-1400 player)
- 1950 with white vs 2100 as black (sub-1200 player)
- 1300 with black vs 1350 as white (sub-900 player)
I can't say you're just in tilt, but looking at your overall rating history, it looks like you may have been at or close to a peak. Variations in ratings, along with a rating drop, are not uncommon.
I had been holding steady in the 1500-1600 range for years and over the last year have dropped to my floor of 1400. I haven't been playing as much as I should but in general don't feel I'm playing any worse than normally. It happens.
Over the last 3-4 days my rating on rapid has plummeted from 1930 way down to 1730. At first, I thought I was simply tired and playing badly. Maybe I am a bit out of form, but below I will list the details and analysis of the last ten games I have lost. I am losing virtually every game I play, and in most cases my opponent has dominated from the very outset.
Opponents "supposed" rating / their accuracy / their estimated rating based on their play
1730 (94%!) 2400!
1894 (86%) 2100.
1813 (82%) 1900
1736 (77%) 1750
1745 (91%) 2250
1746 (78%) 1800
1775 (90%) 2250
1791 (97%!) 2550
1767 (74%) 1700 (wow, actually lower)
1825 (78%) 1850.
So, the average rating of these opponents who beat me is supposed to be 1782.
But their performance, on average, is 2055 rating.
What is going on? Is this extremely bad luck? Am I being penalized in some way? Should I report these guys? Have the ratings suddenly changed?
I will be honest, I am paying for this site and I always check the analysis and the recent set of opponents is very odd.
It is not much fun losing all the time
