In Buenos Aires, perhaps the most prestigious chess school is the one known as Torre Blanca. A friend of mine who owns an ice cream shop and plays chess with me offline, told me that he and his uncle learned and studied there. This friend of mine almost always beats me, especially offline at the ice cream shop when I visit him. But one day I risked his Queen in a hand move while I was watching another knot on another part of the board, as if what my hand was doing was secondary while I was watching the other situation. This confused him and he put his attention on the other knot I was looking at...and I captured his Queen. My friend is also known as a scholar youth champion in the neighborhood because he beat a good Japanese team in a school called Japan. Every neighborhood has its Phillidor or local myths and legends...but that afternoon I beat him, perhaps not with classical chess tactics, but with a distraction worthy of a Samurai or a Ninja.Even so, it is only the best game in one aspect. There are surely others...
