Analysis Tool

I'm fairly new to live chess and am curious. Does most everyone use the analysis tool if available? It's not "cheating" is it?

I'm guessing it isn't available or used much in the faster rate games. I also feel some might choose not to use it to strengthen their mental game.

Use of an analysis tool or board in lube games is considered cheating. You can't use anything but your own knowledge and skill.

I think you misunderstood my question. I'm asking about THE analysis tool that is offered from within the daily chess games on chess.com. It doen't really analyze but it allows you to explore different lines. It is a toggle on the daily chess screen in chess.com. It would really surprise me if this were cheating. (1 day and 3 day chess games. I don't know about the quicker games if they have available)

Of course chess engines and external tools would be cheating.

But thanks for the reply

You mentioned live chess, which does not allow an analysis board. Daily does, as long as no engine or computer evaluation is given.

Ah, I didn't understand that distinction between live chess and daily chess. Got it and makes perfect sense. Thanks.
