Lag compensation not fair

I think lag compensation isn't fair, for example, if I play people with lag. No matter how fast I move, the time stays still. or it feels like they get an increment. If I play a person with lag, usually Asian players, it's impossible to keep up with time. I premoved 10 moves in advance to see, and I was still down by 5-8 seconds on the clock. It's very frustrating that people with lag get this advantage.

If you premoves 10 moves and lost that much time that means you're experiencing high lag.

It’s not really possible to play 1 minute bullet on chess.com because of the lag situation. No matter what the pro chess.com trolls say here. After more than 10 years on the platform here I can say that my bullet rating is entirely dependent on how lag is treating me. Today, i could not make more than 45 moves in a game no matter how fast I play. It’s bullshit. Chess.com should not rate games if they see that time lag impacts the player’s performance. Very frustrating experience.

its frusterating people with high ping are harder to play in bullet for example im usually 40ms ping if i play a ping over 100ms i'm alwways down on time no matter how fast i move . i just played a china player and i basically had to premove every move and i was still down 13.5 seconds by the end of the game...

Your opponent's lag has no impact on your clock. Their lag forgiveness will see changes in their available time but your clock is only impacted by the lag between you and the server.

That's the way it works surprise

Your lag and transit time is what determines the amount of time used along with any lag compensation for your clock.
