I thought blocking them did mean you would not come up against them again... I want to know how to stop that too then....
Why does Live Chess still forces me to play BLOCKED players?
I guess nobody else knows how to use the HELP files here. If the following isn't working the way it's supposed to then you'll have to contact the chess.com staff
"Blocking people is easy - just add them to your blocked list on your Account > Privacy Settings page."

If you go to your "Privacy Settings" (http://www.chess.com/home/privacy.html) you will see a section at the bottom of the page where you can enter a username to block.
Once blocked, a member cannot do any of the following:
- post notes to your account
- send you messages,
- accept your game seeks
- be auto-matched with you in open seeks
- join tournaments that you are running
- post in content that you created"

I am not sure what "auto-matched" means but I am pretty sure this was an "open seek". So again, does blocking a member keep them from finding you seeking a game and accepting the challenge?
You definitely get matched with players you've blocked now. It's terrible and is going to make me go to lichess. Would be a different story if there wasn't so much Thing That Can't Be Named Here going on. As it is though it's literally ruining the site experience.

One reason to block players is if they delay or abandon games without resigning. We should not have to put up with that again and again.
Yea for some reason all my parings are with members i already BLOCKED. becasue they beat me and then i try to block them and its says that member is already blocked. wtf im going to lichess ..the last 50-60 bullet games i played is with someone i have already blocked and these are no tournament strictly random seek games and i see their score with me is like 10 wins etc etc.

You block people because they beat you??
confirmed as not fixed - raised with support AAAAAAGES ago and told it's being fixed as a "priority". Clearly our definitions of the word are different.

As far as I'm aware devs believe the problem was fixed as of a couple of days ago.

Hows this got through testing then? I'm bored of wasting my time reporting so can you take this forward as a moderator?
I thought the whole point of blocking someone in live chess so I don't have to play with them anymore. Apparently, blocking only ignores their chat messages, which I do anyways... Is there a way to really block someone?
