Grades K-8 Chess Tournament At The West Orange Library

Here is a message from West Orange Chess Club Director of Player Development Andy Chan regarding the tournament:

The West Orange Library and West Orange Chess Club are organizing a scholastic town tournament on Saturday, June 15th, from 10 am to 1 pm. It is a FREE tournament for anyone K-8 who knows the rules of the game, with prizes for sections dependent on the number of entries. We will also have instruction for beginners and staff on hand to talk about chess in schools, the benefits of having a program, the summer enrichment program at the high school, and the club at the Toby Katz Community Center on Tuesday nights.
