There is a chess tournament this weekend in North Beacon Hill that has free entry for veterans and really big prizes - in fact, they'll be larger than the entry fee pool due to some great sponsors.

Unrated section for new players as well as a stacked Open division and a solid U1400 division.

I hope to see you there! Free blitz tournament in the evening with MORE cash prizes too. Can't beat it.

(It is open for ages 18+ at the moment because it was being held at the VA hospital before moving, and to honor the Veterans we promised an adult-only crowd, the organizers are sticking to that.)
