It's not the first minor inaccuracy that kills white, but a major second blunder finishes the job. Can you prove it?

White makes a critical error here, but Black misses out on the kill and white gains a second wind.. Can you find what Black didn't consider, and what I found??

Qh2# is threatened after ... Ng4. If hxg4 next is Rxe4 (White Queen is captured). So, Rxg6+ is the only move to get White out of trouble. Well done.

Not quite! Rxg6 is the strongest move by far, but by no means White's only defense.

White can actually play two other excellent ideas, but they're not as dominant

Yes, after sacrificing the Queen for two Rooks White can capture the Black Queen with a fork. Nice!

The title of this topic makes it sound like there is a possibly of a blunder-nado.

Mickdonedee

For #170 there is a quicker solution. After 4. Kxh5 it´s only necessary to play Qf3 and black is forced to change queens and white is up a pawn and a rook and wins easily.

Unpromise

Black blunders here.

Side note: HE'S THE KNIGHT!

archaja

Already b6 was a mistake! and the follow up of white was it definitely.

1. Tf8+ Qg8+ 2.Txg8 Kxg8 3. Qd8+ Kg7 4. Qf8#

According to the engine, after 4. ... Kxh5 it's M10 if the Queens are exchanged. But, only M7 if the Black Queen is captured by the White Rook as in the puzzle.

Mickdonedee

Click the lightbulb twice to see Black's first move followed by the blunder. Capture the White Queen to complete the puzzle.

A simple misunderstanding of the position proves devastating. Click the lightbulb to see white's move and black's blunder. Can you find how to crack through?

Mickdonedee

Click the lightbulb twice to see White's first move followed by the blunder. Continue to checkmate in a further 6 moves.

Oh Baby A Triple! In this fine sequence of events, Black makes a terrible blunder! And Then White Blunders Back! And then Black Blunders Back! And you are going to prove why each move is a blunder!
Puzzle 1 - Click the lightbulb twice to see White's move (Which is already a mistake by the way) and Black's subsequent blunder. Can you prove as white that the defense is inaccurate?

Puzzle 2 - Now you're black. Play 12...g5 and respond to the White blunder.

Puzzle 3 - And Black misplays this completely. Play 13.Bxg5 and then punish Black's Blunder

Mickdonedee

The Key takeouts are: 1) Don't place the Queen on a square that can be attacked by the opponent Knight; 2) Deflection moves are hard to find in puzzles. wink
