Hardest Checkmate in 1
101 ways to checkmate in this position, take your pic. And the knight on h8 makes it fully legal as well. Someone else posted a 105 ways to mate position, just can't remember it as easily as this one.
Hre it is- from the father of the Codex of chess composition.

Plug it into a chess program, wonder which checkmate it chooses and why LOL
move is Qf6
There are SIX different Queens which can go to f6, and you still need to find 99 more mates.
This was a 2 second solve because it looks as if there's en passant. The people who said qf6 are dumb
i found the mate in one it is so easy i am a intermediateand 6th grade and i found it . It is enpassant cause the last move for black is e5 so dpawn takes e pawn#
how should we know if en passant is legal or not
At chess problems we always assume it is not possible, unless retro-analysis of the position proves the opposite.
Now I wonder what's the most number of black pieces that could be added to that position which don't interfere with any of the mates, and the position remains legal.
