As soon as you figure out its all about finding the move that checks but the piece that checks doesnt get attacked, its not that hard just some work

In the (so many knights) puzzle, the knight on A6 will capture the B4 knight. Checkmate. Back wins

Everybody well done! Solving this is not hard but it requires some persistence. And you can all make your own versions of this one to interrogate your friends.

I'm a returning chess player that's also quite new to the game so I might be completely overlooking something but couldn't you just move the Rook from b7 to f7 for a checkmate in one move?

King can still go to h8 for safety
