The best I've been able to find for this puzzle that doesn't come with a solution is mate in 4. For example, 1. Rf8 Kxg3 (1. ... Kxh1 2. Kf2 Kh2 3. Rh8#) 2. Rg1+ Kh2 3. Kf1 Kh3 4. Rh8#.

I don't believe there is a mate in three. I think I have been over every move for white.

P.S. Come on, stop posting puzzles without moves. Just post the position and we will know from the title that we are supposed to find a mate in three for that position. It is really annoying spending five minutes (sometimes more) staring at a puzzle and then you solve it or give up, only to realize there is no solution! Then you see that it is Allthatjazz, who has a nasty habit of 'testing' chess.com members, and you realize you just wasted your time. The worst thing about it is that some of the puzzles you post are really cool puzzles! So when you solve them, and want to check your solution, you can't!

...the first solution

Yeah, we all figured that out a long time ago. The pawn capture is the counter intuitive one. [ 1. Rf4 Kxg3  2. 0-0 Kh3  3. R1f3# ] (highlight)

And what if black plays 1. ... Kxg3. You won't get your mate in 3. A nice attempt at making a puzzle, but you have to be more careful.

He accounted for that, it is just counter intuitive. Highlight in the brackets in my previous post.

P.S. Thanks Likeforests. Very handy.
