In the last puzzle before this post white had a better defense not included in the solution and not covered in the analysis .  Black still has an advantage after the solution but the advantage was greater before the puzzle.  Despite being faulty though the solution and accompanying analysis is still of some value.

Can anybody find the better defense for white?

In the puzzle directly above this post can anyone name the opening system that yielded the starting position?  It took only ten moves to achieve it.

Once again there is an error in my analysis, this time in the puzzle in the previous post.  Can anyone spot it?  

 

Edit:  I've now discovered another error (or at the very least an omission in the analysis) that almost refutes the puzzle!
