Chess.com managers/decision makers: it appears to me that you have fixed something that wasn’t broken. I find the new interface to be completely confusing. I agree with previous comments that at least some sort of notice should have been given and that there should be an option for going back to the older version. This is very disappointing.
New Puzzle version Aug 2024
There have been changes to my chessboard since last night. The awful UI has been replaced with something that is similar to what we had before. I still don't understand why chess.com has not advised anyone about these changes or has not responded to this forum.

You can disable the feature by clicking the settings icon while in it and toggling off Collect Puzzle Points
The new puzzle tier system is great! I enjoy doing puzzles much more when i don't have to worry about losing rating points. Having the tiers makes it much more fun and engaging.
I find it difficult to believe that chess.com would not advise us of this change or at least immediately tell us how to disable it. So arbitrary it's really unbelievable.

When it first became available on the app I believe a dialog was presented allowing it to be disabled immediately.
I kinda agree the new interface seems weird but once you get used to it, you may like it. It actually is kinda beneficial.
The new puzzle feature still rates all your puzzles, it just doesn't show the rating change in the interface. If you don't want the new feature you can disable it and have just regular puzzles
I did what drjbell221b suggested, and it did not work. I even changed my password and deleted and brought back the app. Is there another way to fix this thing?
Also, why is chess.com doing this to us without any prior advisement and giving us no choice in the matter? That does not seem right.
