Anyone, please help me find the complete game Koskinen-Kasanen (Helsinski 1967) leading to this position. I am planning to include this game in my future chess magazine.Cool

Strange... I did not find it in Megadatabase 2012. I used position search and the result is 0.

Thanks Mandy711 on your effort. Can somebody provide the complete game?

Let's make it happen!

The first game of him was recorded in 1987. I guess in those day people had no intention to write them down.

What a beautiful mate!

You'll find 2 videos on YouTube. One says the game is fake with data to confirm that. The position didn't happen but was improvised from post-game analysis.

"Koskinen" is a very common last name in Finland. The game you're looking for (if it's real - I think this was post-game analysis) involved some other Koskinen.

I actually went to school with Henri. Our team won the Finnish high school championship one year, 1983 I think. He played board 2, I played board 3. He was born in 1964, so it seems unlikely that he played chess in 1967. wink.png

I didnt find it in lichess.org database

It is debatable that this game ever happened. It is very likely that this ending was just put into existence by an analyzer building on/deviating from an actual game. I'm not trying to hate on this pretty combination, I am just echoing others.

I'm very late to this discution, but here are some data on Kasanen: https://www.chessprogramming.org/Juha_Kasanen
