Marco edited the Wiener Schachzeitung for 18 years. I had made a page on the 1902 tournament at Monte Carlo in which Marco participated. His picture is there at: http://sbchess.sinfree.net/MonteCarlo1902_players.html at the very bottom.
Georg Marco (1863-1923) was a Viennese journalist and strong chess player who won many tournaments in Vienna and Germany. In this game he lost to a fellow named Pulitzer, but not the famed Joseph Pulitzer (1847-1911) who established the Pulitzer Prizes after his death. It looks like Marco under estimated his opponent and fell for a mating attack.
