Barnes & Noble & their site

Isn't it ridiculous that in the store, Barnes & Noble won't match their own low price for items on their Web site? They charge more in the store then tell you to just order through the site.

All that does is ensure that I'll use Amazon instead.

...ok.

BTW, the reason this sucks is that instead of just picking a book up from the store in just 15 minutes, you have to wait a few days for shipping.

Maybe that's why it costs more. I mean how much are we talking about here? I usually go to an independent bookstore nearby so I'm clueless as to what B&N are up to.

What if you use that new fangled thing I've heard of called the Kindler or some such thing?

Most recently, I was looking to get a video game guide book for my son.  It was $26 in the store, but online & at Amazon, it was ~$16.  Music at a B&N is clearly higher than even Best Buy.  It's almost like they'd really rather you not buy CDs there.
