78 that’s why I said “if you raise your personal standards for everyone to see.”
If you focus only on the good things and expect everyone to admire them, the bad things make you look hypocritical.

Bro, some people see the world like that, but I don't. Who cares if you make a mistake? Every single one of us is human. To be perfect would mean you're not human. Our flaws are what make us beautiful and unique. Each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses, and when they come together to form the tapestry of a community, or even the human race as a whole, that's what makes us truly extraordinary.

great comment bro

had to think hard not to give any politicali-y example lol but thanks!

I'd say raising my personal standards gives me something to achieve ngl. but its back to the point that we are human. we cant be perfect all the time. we are a flawed race and that is perfectly fine

except others dont accept our flaws sometimes, yet they too make mistakes

well that's the problem lol. by ironically pointing that out, we are pointing out a flaw. even now im probably doing it without recognising it. It's like a snake biting its own tail. humans have gotten to the point where we naturally criticise just about anything for no real reason. we all just need to accept that we are gonna disagree, we are gonna have fights, we are gonna do things others dont like and thats chill. you cant control others, you can only control yourself so we all need to stop getting so mad about the little things (speaking in general not anything specific so dont hate on me please. i am not targeting anyone at all)

While it is not a good thing to criticise others, it is still a good thing sometimes. If no one would care if we make mistakes or not, we still be where we are today? Would humanity continuously desire to thrive and prosper, or would it be just a lazy, barely intelligent species? We need to acknowledge our mistakes so that we can fix them, and the best way that can happen is by feeling bad about them. So, criticism can be good, but I do admit it has become exaggerated over the last few years. Or maybe the level of criticism remained the same, only the number of humans that we are exposed to became bigger.

yh obviously criticism is good agree with u

but some appreciation for the good stuff has to be there too

Well I think constructive criticism is good when it isn't too harsh / too much but yh nobody's perfect so everyone will make mistakes. The positive things just have to be appreciated as well

Sadly, that doesn't happen too often, as people just simply love laughing at others mistakes

96 that’s like another thing I heard once: “you should be able to tell your friend, ‘I love you enough to punch you in the face.’”

If telling them the truth is best, you should be honest.
