Good morning ,

This is could be a young people chess set.

Dubrovnik's design, paint after 3D printing.

Chess board comes from aliexpress, sticked on a simple piece of polymer table tissue.

May be it's more common to only print pieces, without external painting.

A+

I think this is a cool idea. Especially if you can incorporate the students designing pieces. If it’s younger kinds they could paint the pieces.

May be pieces could be not painted, but result would be not so bright ;-)

Very smooth print. What is your printer, filament, and the paint used?

Printer Creality CR 10V2, basic cheap PLA. A primer before final painting do the job, in filling spacing layers. Before that there's lot of sanding and finish the print, not to have any defaults before spraying primer. After spraying primer, polish the print with 600 grade wash sanding paper. Three pass of the final colour may be applied. Sorry not to place paint ref., it's only french brands like Leroy MERLIN, Peinture Voiture, and soon and soon ! Long time before obtain this smooth aspect.
