Beating your kids [in chess]
I read the first post. I thought it was fairly evident that he was talking about beating them in chess. How many pages of yuks can be squeezed out of a marginally unclear antecedent?
I always tried against my kid. Even the top GMs lose close to half the time, learning from your losses and making improvements s one of the great life lessons kids get from chess. I found letting him have some take backs or saying "are you sure?" before a questionable move helps them realize consequences of not thinking things through. Not an issue now as I have not beaten him in 6mos.
Ha... the title got changed. 😂
They wanted to make sure we were going on about [in chess] instead of about violence against kids. But the url still reveals all.
