Should chess be the most important subject in school?

Chess isn't even a subject in school and it shouldn't

In school subjects, you learn stuff you might need later on in life, chess is a hobby, and unless you're a GM ot something, it'll only be a hobby. Teaching chess in school would really be a waste of time and the school's resources. Don't get me wrong, I like chess, but no way it should be a subject, let alone the most important

It only depends if the students HAVE to take it

If it is optional, ok I guess? That's what chess clubs are for, and if everybody HAS to take the class, then only 1% would show interest in it, and how would you grade it as a teacher? Would you give tests? Would you give homework? All the teaching essentials wouldn't work if chess is a subject 

It is way more helpful than History

chess has its own beauty. it is a important to have long term plans and strategies in life which is learnt through chess for many

No? Idk what you're smoking, but chess is a game, and it has NOTHING to do with real life

"Long term plans" is non existent unless you're a prodigy, which 99.9% of school kids are not. 

Ok, its not everyday where people care about chess

There is a CHESS CLUB after school for a reason

If you won't be in chess club, why would you care about chess class? 

i am not a prodigy but i do make long term plans. Think you are not experienced in this game

Can we get one reason history is more important

Want the truth? Unless you're a super GM, you won't have "long term plans". Learn something important, chess is a GAME and nothing more

i can give you examples. Every FIDE player makes long term plans

go ask a 1200 rated

Because, you learn about the past and important events that changed the course of history

I.e, the reveloutionary war, that Is important because thr U.S.A might not even be a state

Give me a reason 1 reason chess is important

Sorry, but a 1200 won't be succeful

They'll fail. Only super GMs do well, which most people aren't
