I keep looking and I can not find this anywqhere. In ... More I see nothing like it. In the side border menu on the left at the bottom there is a switch for dark/light UI and I have this to light but most of the site is still dark though.

just go to themes and get a picture of google then go to themes custom background and then. it will appear

Go there https://www.chess.com/settings/themes choose custom theme, then the background picture you like, and the light mode...
For some reason chess.com is shown with black background colour and it doesn´t fit well with my otherwise generally much brighter desktop and windows. System settings for my laptop is bright and I find no settings for chess.com. How do I set it to not be so dark?
