Chess.com banning religion is persecution
Belief can be a sources of a lot of trouble. Just take the Middle East as an example.
There may be something to that, but can there be any justification for barring someone from expressing themselves in a way that harms nobody?
You can make forums naming other users as predators https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/caught-a-predator and singling them out for mockery https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/stop-bully-me-so-much and moderators will participate in the thread, but you're not allowed to share your religious beliefs https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/god-loves-everybody. What is it about saying God loves everybody that is more threatening to chess.com's business than threads like this Literally 10 pages of spam threads in the past 24 hours, but in not one of them can you even mention religion at all. Look at them yourself, by all means, and tell me if you think it's more important for chess.com to continue to suppress free speech about religion than it is for them to limit the amount of time people can spend on these idiotic forums talking about who they want to date and who the most annoying user is. (Sorry, Will for singling out 2 of your threads as particularly egregious examples of chess.com's foolish double standards, but you have to admit that they don't really add anything beneficial and kind of make this a toxic community.)
