Yeah, the app is just slower that way - a mouse is a lot faster than the app drag and drop.
Definitely not paying for that any more. Free version it is.

If you're on the iOS app staff are aware of an issue impacting some games and are looking into it. There's also an update coming out soon that should help
Playing speed chess and way ahead on time Opponent seems to stop moving as time clicks away then at the last second moves and my time disappears and I get the loss. Removing app it not resolved. Is it some kinda of cheat method. Seems ridiculous to cheat at online chess But hey that’s humanity.
I have 30 seconds left on the clock. Opponent has 5. I am using the app.
I move as quickly as I can, lose about 2 seconds per move. He seems to be able to move in about 1/10th of a second.
I end up losing on time.
Is it the app against a desktop user? I’ve quit my paid membership as a result it happens often enough to make it not fun to play.
