How to get beta?

I had the beta option two days ago but didn't join. Now the option is gone. Is there a way to opt "in" to beta? I am a diamond member in case it matters.

In order to activate the BETA features, the user account used must have existed for at least 30 days and one must have at least one activity point. Activity points are obtained by posting posts in the chess.com forum, for example.

Is BETA limited to 5000 members ?

I don't think they have a limit anymore. The official chess.com Beta club has more than 8,000 members so I can only assume the 5,000-member policy has been lifted. As of now you can join Beta in your settings, I joined just a few minutes ago.

There is still a limit, just a lot higher than 5,000

To test new features before they are released site wide. It's a way to get some feedback and bug reports for the site.
