Why Chess.com is unfair to play on unless you have premium

Yeah, I was defeated by an 1800 when I was rated 2000, in an arena. In the top game chats, many ppl are trash talkers and most of them are low-rated, so they don't focus much on chess, and instead spam and talk rubbish. Thats what I am saying. There's no talk at all in the Lichess top games section.

And, by the way, "8 times more players than Lichess" are wrong. Lichess has about 100,000 games ongoing at any moment. Chess.com has about 130,000 games ongoing. Therefore, ur claims are wrong. And I didn't mention everyone, you must have dreamed so. I said, most of the ppl.

You do realize that most of the games that you play are against people who aren't trash talkers. Out of the however many games you have played (excluding arena), how many where trash talkers and cheaters and hackers?

Many, if you scroll on my games. I played a peculiar number of games yesterday, just to keep my rating at its normal position. And, all trash talkers are low elo players, they didn't appear often in my games, but I have nevertheless seen ppl trash talking in forum comments, thats why moderators close the topics.
Me who is talking about unfair advantages from paying going to trash talking like ;-;

first of all its a business and wants to generate as much profit as possible. but that the mods here are, well lets say very conservative and the impersonate law, i have read for many times. but what do you expect its an american platform and it reflects the national attitude.

support does actually not exist imo. or it is hidden very well. luckily i never needed it.

i recommend to try lichess. it is free for everyone. if you like it please donate. offers same features, some are better than here, especially studies. others, the fancy ones, are less developed. but best:

Perhaps location matters. I live in North America and I don't really notice lag on Chess.com. The connection might be different for those on other continents ...

I still don't understand why you don't just go to lichess. At least try it out. Plus, the number of people there is still a lot, so at most, it probably only takes a few minutes to get an oppennent you want. It never took me over 5 minutes

I do, but people are like "omg lichess sucks because its an inaccurate representation of your actual elo, play chess.com instead and that's your real elo" except then lag, so ;-;

Chess.com is unfair in fast game modes with no increment unless you have premium or a super fast computer. Here's why:

The game on average can take up 1.0+ GB of storage. That might not seem like a lot. But other browser websites and pages like Gmail, Discord, Youtube and others take up a lot less. Take even another chess website like Lichess. "It's not superior", as many people would probably like to point out. Except that you lag less. Like A LOT less. Lichess? 52 MB. That's 1/20s of the amount of processing for the exact same gameplay, except maybe multipremoving.
Why do I bring this up?
Some people can't physically pay for premium. They don't have a card or they can't convince their parents to use a card for them. So you want to get good at chess? Buy a better computer, not Chess.com's fault. "It's likely our servers aren't the problem" as stated when asking support when lag occurs. So just because you don't have a better computer or you haven't paid for a lower running cost, you're at a disadvantage. That's the bottom line. It's unfair, and honestly sad.
