I also asked this same question. Berserker mode is very fun. They should put it on chess.com
Why is there no berserker mode in Chess.com arenas like in Lichess?
Sorry, but what is berserker mode?
When a player clicks the Berserk button at the beginning of the game in arena, they lose half of their clock time, but the win is worth one extra tournament point.
Going Berserk in time controls with an increment also cancels the increment. (1+2 is an exception, it gives 1+0)
Berserk is not available for games with zero initial time (0+1, 0+2).
Berserk only grants an extra point if you play at least 7 moves in the game.
That would be fine. But I also see scenarios where opponent might not berserk back and heated conversations happen in game chat. Not saying everyone does it, especially those that are much familiar with berserking are fine with either result.
I would also like to see such option to be added.
I love playing tournaments on both Lichess and Chess.com, but I really miss the Berserk mode here on Chess.com. It's such a fun challenge - sacrificing time for bonus points is really fun
Why do you think Chess.com hasn't added this feature? Would you like to see it here?
