hmmm...well how about not making the conditional move board instantaneous? i.e. put a button that says "submit conditional moves"

Yup, there's support for the idea of 2-phase commit - including from Erik.
Say you are in the analysis board making moves and then you find a nice 4 or 5 moves, would it be possible in the analysis board to "copy" the moves to conditional moves?
