why do you want others to hear you when they don't want to? Just like freedom of speech, they have right not to hear
blocking options
I suspect that most blockers would block right across the board - regardless of a range of responses being available.
Congratulations on getting blocked, by the way; it shows you're making an argument. Plus, you won't be tempted to continue posting in an inane thread.

i think you misunderstood me. i was referring to me choosing to block someone else. i'd like to have the option of blocking them just from games, or chat, or threads, or notes, or whatever (i.e. i can choose what to block them from and what not).
currently the block feature is all or nothing.

yeah i'd assume people would block across the board as well.
and thanks, it's my first one (that i know of). i kind of feel proud.

Oops, I misunderstood. (I guess I should go to sleep early)
Now I fully agree with your wish.
i was just recently blocked by someone because i disagreed with them in one of their threads. as a result, i was unable to comment in the thread again.
this made me consider that the blocking option could be changed a little. speaking from my own personal experiences on chess.com, i may want to block someone so i don't have to deal with the way they play live chess (for example, a sore loser who will just let his/her time run out instead of resigning or playing a lost position). this does not necessarily mean that i never want this person to read or comment on any of my threads ever again.
there should be a list of sections that one can block another from. just have checkboxes that one can choose when they block someone.
