As soon as I get my Facsimile Morphy Watch Company off the ground you get a sample, just because you've been good and have managed to control your old habit of swinging through the nighttime cityscape bending all kinds of laws.
Dear Santa
As soon as I get my Facsimile Morphy Watch Company off the ground you get a sample, . . .
I want mine to look like this
I tried to complain about this pop-up thing several times, batgirl, but I couldn't do it right because of my poor English. (In fact I didn't know it had something to do with a pop-up window, I just didn't know neither what was happening nor why.) Not even kohai, nice as she is, would listen to what I was trying to say. I'll keep my fingers crossed hoping for Santa to bring us all your Christmas present.
Dear Santa
I am greatly enjoying Live Chess in it's new incarnation. Whereas in the original, I had trouble even logging on and staying connected was nearly impossible, I've encountered no such difficulties since the latest verion has been in effect. So, I feel a little petty even mentioning something that I find annoying but has no real impact otherwise. But I don't have a clue whether it's something that can be fixed with a couple keystrokes, or whether it requires some major re-write.
My annoyance: After a game in Live Chess, when I might normally type something (during a blitz game, typing is difficult), just as I start to type, or even while I'm in the process of typing, a "New Game" window always pops up - I mean a window where you would make a challenge for a new game. When this happens the cursor is no longer in the box where I was typing and either nothing I've been typing is there, or I simply have to stop and close the window, which, though it sounds pretty easy, sometimes ends up taking 10 seconds or so, during which time my opponent occasionally logs off. Another thing that happens sometimes is if I'd already started typing and the last few words aren't there, in the scurry to get back to where everything was before the pop-up, I'll do something, I think I must hit the backspace, and exit off the page completely. While, it may seem evident that I'm a klutz, the point is that it's all unnecessary. The pop-up is unnecessary - we're all capable of deciding if we want to make a challenge and we're equally aware of how to do it. The resulting chaos, or just the waste of critical time, is equally unnecessary.
Please, please, if it is at all possible, end those pointless, inopportune pop-ups.
It's all I want for Christmas.
Thank you Santa,
Batgirl
(PS. I've been a good batgirl all year)
