This(game explorer) is one of the biggest bugs, shortcommings, defect, deficiency, deficit, inadequacy, insufficiency.... of chess.com
Chess.com brags to be #1 online chess site...but their Game Explorer is really bad. There are not enough games in it.Where does this database comes from? Too little options! You may say "it is easy to use." It is also easy to stick your hand in a wood chipper.
I understand what "Transposition" in chess is- different move/s order leading to the same position. That is not it.Because in case that I have shown according to "game explorere" white cant win only lose or draw!!!
Cause at first, position doesn't match-up with some games, but a move after this one, magic! matchs up!, because position have been reached trought two different paths.
There's nothing wrong with having nothing to say - unless you insist on saying it.
Anyway: Thanks for your argumented and with facts and evidence supported statement....oh wait ;)
pdela 2. point :game should have been noted a win for black not white.Imagine someone follows entire game and makes same moves and discovers that he lost despite it was written that white wins ;)
pdela already explained this, but I thought I would expand on it since it's a little confusing:
Suppose, for simplicity, that Game Explorer is based on the result of 2 games:
In game 1, players reach position A. Then they play some more moves and reach position B. Then white goes on to win.
In game 2, players reach position C. Then they play some more moves and reach position B (the same position as in game 1). Then black goes on to win.
So, now, if you were to use Game Explorer to reach position A, you'll see that white always wins from this position. And yet, if you continue using Game Explorer to reach position B, you'll see that white only wins 50% of the time! So, this explains the situation you are seeing. It's not a bug, just a limitation of the way the system is based.
Instead of reaching a position in Game Explorer and saying "white can never win from this position", you have to say "no master has ever beaten another master from this position". That's not to say someone couldn't do so. And when some positions are based on just a handful (or less) of games, then it's not surprising there would be these situations that look like inconsistencies.

Transposition, my friend
definition
Mathematics. a permutation of a set of elements that interchanges two elements and leaves the remaining elements in their original positions.

Imagine you do not play
1.e4 d6 2.c4 Nf6 3.Nc3 e5 4.Nf3 c5 5.Be2 Nc6 5.d3
but
1.c4 c5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.e4 Nc6 4.Nf3 e5 5.d3
Topic: FAIL
Do not be hard with the guy, everyone has right to one embarrassing analysis from time to time ;)

yeah, i have realized.... I will not come back to follow a game played by NN.
i love the game explorer. I think it is the most useful around.
ya i love games played by nn. there should be a game explore completely devoted to him. that would be awesome
The game explorer seems fine.
The game explorer seems fine.
Dont get me wrong I like game explorer too but it is not "fine" because it is bugged and limited(like bugs that I shown in my first post.)
