Game stats

Dear Chess.com,

I just played a blitz game against a player named chesed, rated 1410, which was my best win, so came up in my blitz statistics. However, it notes my best win as against a 1401 rated player, which was chesed's rating after adjustments from the game.

What's the deal?

Thanks.

The rating you've won against is after the rating adjustment. Say somebody just starts to play chess here. After one game, she wins against a very high ranked player, when the high ranked player hung a queen and resigned, even though the high ranked player was easily winning before the blunder. The winner of that game is now rated, say, 1500. Then you play her, win, and it shows you have beaten a 1300. The rating adjustment gives a truer indication of who you beat.
