Missing Details on Posts

I didn't know how else to word this.

When you quote a post in a forum, all the smileys and the italics etc in it dissappear. The same thing happens when a blog entry is displayed on the home page. The smileys and italics in the first sentences of the entry are missing in the preview display, and it may cause some confusion. Maybe the italics are not that important, but when you make a joke but the "Smile" isn't visible, people may get it wrong, or sometimes your post might seem over-aggressive when you were actually teasing someone tongue in cheek.

Lets try this, see how this reads when quoted: I think this site is the single worst thing in internet chess history LaughingTongue outWink!

Well... before you crucify me, just remember I never intended to say it like that Smile.

But you had to manually insert them into the quote window, didn't you?

Yes. That is the workaround.

OK, I didn't know that, thanks. Too bad you can't do that for blog preview texts. And you can't control people who quote you on forums Smile.

Just block EVERYONE - and no-one will be able to [mis]quote you again.
