Mouse Over and Out

It would be handy if the mouseover feature worked in places other than the forums - on the Friends List, for instance.

(adkirk had similar ideas here ... mouse-over-member-names).

I think there is a limit on how much info the mouse over can show.

When you hover over a name in a forum posting, you get a pop-up ...

but when you hover over a name in your friends list - you don't. I was hoping for the same information in both contexts - not additional information.

Oh, i see what you mean now. I thought you wanted to be able to see your friends list when you hover over it with your mouse. It is strange that you don't see your friend's stats although they are chess.com members.

Mouseovers are wonderful and really annoying sometimes. I hate the one that appears when you hover [my home]. There are often links just under that drop down that are often what I was really aiming for. But yes, mouseovers can be very useful and save on unnecessary pageloads if only someone would invent them.

A mouseover would be handy when viewing your trophies - to show you who they were from; being able to sort by awarder would achieve much the same effect.

A mouseover would be useful to show you a list of recent topics created by a poster i.e. a shortcut to going to their profile and viewing their content.

What's a mouseover?

When your mouse goes over something, and it opens a mini-box under it.
Put your mouse over my name, you should get one.

On the View Post link (in the list of forum topics), it would be neat to see the start of the latest post in a mouseover (pop-up).
