I think that all members of chess.com here have to suggest to the site to launch  very soon  for matches and for tournaments and allow the chess players to play real proffessional chess like the elite of the chess . I wonder if we suggest to the site to have  the option of playing  45 0 minutes  or 1 hr or 2 hrs like in real tournaments in proffessional chess so those type of games can help much to improve our chess skills in competetive tourneys in real world . The match between 2 groups can end quickly like in championship of the teams . You now can't wait for your opponent when he/she likes to move and stays ready in fear of being time out and in last minutes the opponent get vacation Yell . Is more instructive and useful that online chess . I'm not saying that in chess.com players never must play online but who want those types of games , they can have the option of playing such exiting games . Is to bring real proffessional chess in this site full of groups.

Imagine some groups that play matches and end in a couple of hours and later discusss with each other and know the result of the match like in championship of teams in real proffesional chess in real world.

I see no reason why Chess.com can't eventually control FIDE! Mark my words, within 10 years the world chess championships will be sponsored by Chess.comSmile

I wouldn't deny anyone the privilege of preferring chess at FICS if they are dedicated to doing so.  What I don't understand is the assumption that there is no live chess at chess.com.  I don't play any turn-based or correspondence chess whatever.  It is easy to find plenty of live games in NOT SO FAST, and it is equally easy to set up such games by floating a challenge through the drop-down menu under MY HOME.  I have been able to pick up a live game within five minutes every time I floated an invitation there.  Moreover, I have played only 90 or 120 minute games.  I haven't played recently, but that is because I've decided to take time off so I can study instead of play.

If two players wished, they could agree to some way to play a game with tournament timing requirements right here.  Chess.com might be encouraged to set up some games with move requirements like those of tournaments.  It's hard to guess what interest the membership would have in that.

I definitely agree with those who believe that the people in NOT SO FAST are quite friendly, polite, and show no signs of jealously toward each other.  I've had some lengthy conversations with several of them, and they are real down-home folks.

I am member of NOT SO FAST but chess haven't yet launch teamleague like FICS with time per game - 45 45 min and the entire match ends later today. I have found what i was looking for  on FICS and many other things like live chess tournaments etc Wink
